The Content Library
Content Items belong to a Client or are shared across the Workspace. The Library shows the selected Client's media alongside Workspace media available there.
Uploading#
Files go straight from your browser to storage rather than through our servers. An upload that does not finish cannot be scheduled, and tame says so rather than queueing a Post around a file that is not there.
You can set a title, a default caption a Post can inherit, and metadata, all editable after upload.
Folders#
Use All media to see everything available to the selected Client, or Unfiled to see uploads without a folder. Folders can be named for an Account, campaign or collection. They organise media without assigning it to an Account or Device.
Owners and Managers can create, rename and delete folders. Open a folder before uploading to put new media there, or choose Upload folder. You can always choose Unfiled. To organise existing media, select its checkboxes, choose a destination folder, then choose Move selected. Select this page selects the visible page only.
A Client's media stays in that Client's folders. Workspace-shared media uses shared folders, so moving it never changes who can use it. Deleting a folder keeps its media in Unfiled and leaves existing Posts unchanged.
Deleting media#
Owners and Managers can delete a file with the trash button on its card. A file that has already been posted can be deleted too. Its stored file is removed and its storage is freed, and every Post that published it stays in the Schedule history with its name and, for a video, its thumbnail. It leaves the Library and cannot be chosen for a new Post or scheduled again.
A file is kept while something still needs it, and tame says what:
- a Post that has not gone out yet. Cancel it, or delete the file once it is published.
- a Post that failed and can be sent again. Delete that Post first.
- a paused Schedule that still lists it for a run to come. Take it out of that Schedule first.
Shared Workspace media is checked across every Client, so a file another Client is about to post is never removed from under it.
Choose a folder while working#
In Remote control, open the Content Library and choose a Folder. Filename and caption searches apply within that folder. Uploading starts in the selected folder, and Unfiled remains available for media without one.
In Schedule, choose a folder when picking media for a run or editing one. Changing folders keeps the media already chosen and its order. Chosen items stay visible above the grid so you can remove them even while browsing another folder. Search and page controls reach older media as well as recent uploads.
Storage#
| Plan | Content Library |
|---|---|
| Solo | 5 GB |
| Rack | 25 GB |
| Studio | 100 GB |
| Agency | 500 GB |
All uploads count toward the Workspace's allowance, regardless of which Operator uploaded them. This includes VA uploads through remote control. Uploads in another Workspace use that other Workspace's allowance.
Upload through remote control#
Open an accessible Device, select Content Library, then expand Upload media. VAs upload to that Device's Client Library. They can see available Client and shared Workspace media, but cannot create Workspace-wide uploads.
An upload saves an item to the cloud Library. To put it on the Device, take control, select it and choose Send to Device. Wait for Saved to Photos, then choose the media in the Platform app. Sending does not publish automatically. The cloud original stays in the Library and continues to count toward storage.
See Mouse, keyboard and media for file formats, delivery limits, captions and what to do if a transfer is not confirmed.
How scheduled Post media reaches a Device#
- Nothing is pushed in advance. A Device holds no copy of your Library and there is no sync.
- A Post fetches only what it needs. When one is due, the Mac downloads that single original and verifies it.
- It transfers immediately before it is needed, just before the Platform's own picker opens.
This avoids copying the entire Library to each Device. Media explicitly sent to Photos through remote control can remain on that Device after the session ends.
Upload once, post anywhere
In every plan, starting at 5 GB.
