Instagram automation on iPhones you own
tame drives Instagram on a real iPhone plugged into your Mac. It opens the app, looks at the screen, and taps it the way a person would.
No Instagram API, no emulator, no cloud phone, and no session token handed to anybody. You log in on the phone yourself.
What tame can do#
| Post a reel | From your Content Library, keeping the video's own audio |
| Post photos | One, with your caption |
| Post a carousel | Several as one Post, in the order you chose |
| Post a story | A photo or a video |
| Edit bio | Replaces it, then watches reels for a few minutes |
| Profile link | Add, rename or remove |
| Change profile picture | To one you choose |
Each can run once or repeat on a schedule you set by Account, phone, days and local times.
Warmup, underneath all of it#
Warmup is the daily activity around posting: scrolling reels, watching and occasionally liking or searching. The default ramp is 14 days, configurable from 7 to 90 days, with an individual plan for each Account.
Add keywords under Niches to search in Warmup, then choose Warm & search to request a search in one immediate Session. See Warmup settings for the schedule and Account controls.
A Post is never a bare upload#
Publication Flows include automatic browsing around their work. You can set separate pre/post minutes, including zero, in the Account's Session settings. An Account that opens Instagram, edits a link and vanishes is legible from the session length alone, before anyone reads a gesture.
What you need#
A Mac, an iPhone used as a dedicated Device, a data cable, and an Apple account for signing. The whole path is on the Quickstart, about 20 minutes.
tame never sees your password. There is no field for one in the product.

Everything here is in the smallest plan.
MCP workflow#
Discover Action ids and music inputs, upload generated slides, schedule an ordered carousel and configure short niche Sessions through MCP. See Automate with MCP for examples and current limits.
